Q: Do you have to be a Georgia Tech grad to be involved?
A: No. GTBN welcomes all the "Tech family" - students, alumni, family, friends, colleagues, Georgia Tech fans... you get the picture.
 
Q: How can I get involved?
A: Attend our next event. Join the LinkedIn group. Follow us on Twitter. Apply to join the board. Sponsor an event. Spread the word about GTBN to your network.
 
Q: Where does GTBN meet?
A: Our events are held at several locations throughout Atlanta - usually in either Buckhead, Midtown, or Perimeter. Past event locations have included Georgia Tech College of Management, Engine 11, Firehouse Grill, Big Chow Grill, and Hudson Grille.
 
 
Q: What is the Georgia Tech Business Network? 
A: GTBN is a business association for the Georgia Tech community that brings together like-minded individuals looking to expand their connections and accelerate their career through unique networking events, panel discussions, career workshops, and more.
 
 
Q: What is the mission of GTBN? 
A: The Georgia Tech Business Network (GTBN) creates and promotes an environment that continues the Georgia Tech connection, fosters innovation, enables continued learning & knowledge sharing, while increasing the value Georgia Tech provides.
 
Q: What is the vision of GTBN? 
A: To become the revered business networking organization that is sought after not only in the Atlanta area and within the Tech Community, but also throughout the world.
 
Q: What can GTBN offer me as an individual?
A: Are you looking to accelerate your career or expand your network?   Are you an entrepreneur looking for some place to share your ideas or gain exposure? Are you just looking to reconnect to Georgia Tech and others? The Georgia Tech Business Network can offer you all this and more. GTBN offers individuals the opportunity to meet other business professionals linked to Georgia Tech. We help you get connected and help you develop your knowledge and skills through our various programs. (What you do with that is up to you!)
 
Q: Why should companies get involved with GTBN?
A: The Georgia Tech Business Network offers companies exposure to a prominent group of business members in the Atlanta community, providing a venue to connect with the Georgia Tech community. GTBN gives businesses the opportunity to gain exposure at our events by participating, sponsoring, hosting, and/or presenting.. 
 
Q: How is GTBN different from other GT organizations?
A: Unlike many other Georgia Tech organizations, membership in GTBN is not restricted only to alumni, current students, faculty and staff. Our goal is to try to connect Georgia Tech to the business community and vice-versa. 
 
Q: Is GTBN affiliated with any other GT organizations?
A: The Georgia Tech Business Network is not currently directly affiliated with any other GT organizations, however we enjoy partnering with other campus organizations on various events and initiatives. Past partnerships have included co-sponsored events with the GT Bar alumni group, various regional alumni clubs, and different Georgia Tech schools including the College of Management and the School of Industrial Engineering. We look forward to expanding our relationships and forging new partnerships in many of our upcoming events. 
 
Q: Does it cost anything to participate? 
A: Membership in GTBN is completely FREE!   Some events, however, do have registration fees associated with attending them. 
 
Q: How much time does it take to be involved? 
A: That is completely up to you. GTBN typically hosts one event per month, but all events optional to attend. As a member of GTBN, you are not required to do anything, but the more you participate in, the more your personal network will grow! Want to get more involved? Look into applying to join the board (link) or get involved by sending us your feedback and ideas!
 
Q: Who runs the Georgia Tech Business Network? 
A: The Georgia Tech Business Network is run by a volunteer board that consists of a diverse group of Georgia Tech alumni and Atlanta business representatives. We are always looking for feedback and additional help, so please contact us if you are interested in getting more involved!
